Medicine safety for Nigeria

Check the pack before you swallow.

"You wan rush drink wetin go kill you?"You waited to see the pharmacist. Five more minutes to check the pack could save your life.

We compare the medicine in your hand with 0000 NAFDAC Greenbook registrations, 0000 of them active, and with packaging confirmed by verified manufacturers.

We tell you plainly what matched, what didn't, and what to do next. We never call a pack genuine from a photo or a barcode.

Check

Check a pack

Type the NAFDAC Reg. No., the name, or both, exactly as printed. With both, we can catch a number that belongs to a different product.

Usually looks like A4-1234 or 04-1234. Not the "Mfg. Lic. No." or the batch number. Leave empty if you only have the name.
NAFDAC alerts

Latest fake and recalled products

Official public alerts from NAFDAC, often with photos of the fake pack. When a check matches one, we show it in your result.

How it works

What a check can, and cannot, tell you

Every result says which evidence it used, and where that evidence stops.

A barcode or photo cannot prove a pack is genuine

Counterfeiters copy packaging, barcodes and registration numbers. We show what lines up and what doesn't, and never say "genuine" or "fake" from appearance alone.

Registration record

The NAFDAC number, name, strength and form on the pack match a registration in the NAFDAC Greenbook. It confirms the product is registered, not that this pack is.

Manufacturer-confirmed packaging

Reference images supplied by a verified manufacturer and approved by our reviewers, with the date they were last confirmed. Earlier packaging stays listed because older stock may still be on shelves.

When something doesn't line up

A number registered to another product, a different strength, an inactive registration: we name the exact problem and point you to a pharmacist and NAFDAC's reporting service.
